Education

The Peace Heroines exhibition has been designed as a resource to support the Key Stage 3 History Curriculum in Northern Ireland.

The exhibition reflects on the causes and impact of The Troubles and how history has been selectively interpreted to create stereotypical perceptions, one of the subject’s statutory requirements.

Throughout this interactive website you will find a series of introductory and progression questions, discussion points, classroom activities and suggested digital tasks. Each has been designed to encourage students to explore more about our Peace Heroines and to learn more about the Troubles and its ongoing legacy.
